This is the official discussion thread for the cause Peace Garden Project. Its EIN is 83-4491094 and it's a public charity based in Manteo, NC. Research more info about the cause on GuideStar and Charity Navigator.

We work against -isms and phobias in the world while feeding people. They don't just grow food, they grow healthy community.

The mission of the Peace Garden Project is to grow and distribute healthy food and healthy community while looking at the intersectionality between food justice and other justice issues. In July and August alone of this year, this new project has distributed 26,000+ pounds of food, some of which was grown on donated local garden plots. Food assistance is provided in these crucial times to 3200 people/month. The project uses the gardens to break down barriers around race, class, socio-economics and religion to bring neighbors together. Peace Garden Project hosts Youth Leadership and other workshops to train all ages and races in the community to join together in further developing this ecumenical ministry.
