This is the official discussion thread for the cause Southern Hope Animal Rescue & Education. Its EIN is 47-3659009 and it's a public charity based in Shawboro, NC. Research more info about the cause on GuideStar and Charity Navigator.

Animal rescue that rehabs and rehomes unwanted and slaughter-bound equines while promoting horsemanship education.

Southern Hope does so much as far as rescuing horses, donkeys, pigs, rabbits, dogs, and cats. They not only rescue so many but they are very into the educational value, teaching children about animals and how to treat them. This group is passionate and compassionate, everything that an animal rescue group should be!

Southern Hope Animal Rescue is a family & volunteer operated 501(c)(3) organization that offers horse boarding, riding lessons, birthday parties, petting pen, adoptable animals and more! Our amenities include: a modern barn with five 12’x12′ fully matted box-stalls with access to grass pasture, concrete center aisle, ceiling fans, miniature horse stalls, wash stall with hot and cold water, tack storage area, large grass semi-private turnout with automatic waterers, large run-in sheds, and a lighted grass dressage arena. And don’t forget about our swing-set and petting pen with our farm critters!

It’s more than just an all species animal rescue. SHARE is a place where we learn, grow and have fun! We not only offer many volunteer opportunities but we also have a riding lesson program, pony ride parties and professional horse boarding services to help fund our rescue costs.

We primarily assist local shelters with the placement of farm animals, dogs, cats and rabbits but are also known to accept owner surrendered animals of all kinds.
