Support Your Civic Institutions
Think about military families coping with the absence of their loved ones, or soldiers returning from the front lines with PTSD. Consider communities that rely upon volunteer fire departments as first responders to emergency situations like fires and motor vehicle accidents. Remember the value of independent news sources that are free from the influence of corporate powers. Not to mention teachers and schools and the other critical pillars of our communities. We often take for granted these important threads woven into the fabric of our society helping it function smoothly every day and protecting our interests and our loved ones.
Each month, Charitocracy and our amazing donors hand select civic charities that are devoted to missions like assisting veterans and military families, funding volunteer first responders, and supporting independent news reporting. By the end of the month, through voting we select one charity out of all the nominated charities from all 12 categories to which we donate our monthly pooled donations. Chances are, the charities you nominate or vote for will win Charitocracy's monthly grant!
Take a look at the list below of civic charities that have won our monthly pot in the past. Then check out the current civic charity nominees (or all nominees) for this month's voting. Are we missing one you'd like to win? Join us and nominate your favorite civic charity to add to our voting list!
